China Evergrande’s shares rose after a court granted the Chinese property developer more time to work out a scheme to restructure billions of dollars in debt.

Shares rose 13% to 27 Hong Kong cents (3.5 U.S. cents) after local media reported that a Hong Kong court granted the company’s ask to adjourn proceedings concerning a possible liquidation to Jan. 29.
