The CLE 53 AMG comes with positively giant 14.6-inch front and 14.2-inch rear brake rotors. You’ll possibly need all of that braking power when sorting through the five available AMG Dynamic Select drive modes. There’s “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Sport+,” “Individual,” and lastly, “Slippery.” The drive modes not only augment the adjustable air suspension system, steering, and all-wheel drive system but also lend a hand to the CLE 53’s all-wheel steering capability.
Inside the AMG is a digital display behind the steering for all your readouts and pertinent driving metrics. In the center, the MBUX-powered display controls infotainment, climate control, and can be configured to give you additional data depending on your drive mode. There’s also 64-color ambient interior lighting for good measure. Mercedes has not revealed the price as of yet. The CLE model is entirely new for Mercedes and seeks to sit between two-door versions of the C-Class and E-Class. The CLE 53 AMG sets out to do the same thing, only with the usual amount of AMG flair (and price premium).
