Even more perks from being magenta.

Carriers, in addition to attracting new customers, want to keep their users as well. Usually, this comes in the form of occasional gifts and perks such as free streaming services, but T-Mobile is known for usually wanting to go above and beyond in this regard. Its latest advancement in this direction is a new rewards program on top of all the perks and gifts it already offers.

T-Mobile has just announced Magenta Status, a new rewards program that wants to give you a few extra perks for being a T-Mobile customer. Whereas the previous perks came in the form of additions to your plan or physical gifts, this particular rewards program is a bit more akin to what you would get from something like a premium credit card. As for the actual perks, customers can expect to receive stuff such as premium hotel rates, automatic upgrades to Hilton Honors Silver if you happen to stay at a Hilton hotel, and hassle-free rental car returns with refueling covered. Additionally, you will receive discounted movie tickets, discounted Live Nation tickets, and ongoing deals through T-Mobile Tuesdays.

The program is estimated to provide over $1500 in added value annually to each customer, and T-Mobile plans to continually enhance Magenta Status with more benefits and deals. It’s available for T-Mobile’s own customers, so if you happen to be on a prepaid MVNO line, you won’t be eligible for this. It’s not mentioned whether this will be closed off to certain phone plans or if it will be available for everyone—if it’s the latter, and you find value in the perks, you might be about to love your line even more. You’ll be able to keep track of all your Magenta Status benefits through the T Life app, which the company recently launched as a replacement to the T-Mobile Tuesdays app and works as a one-stop-shop for all perks T-Mobile offers.

All the details are coming on February 11th, so if you want to take advantage of this program, you should certainly keep an eye on T-Mobile’s website or app.
