The world was already a pretty excellent place for Godzilla fans considering a) Godzilla Minus One exists and is in theaters, and b) its black and white version, Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color, is also in now in theaters for a limited time. One thing could make it better though. Maybe, say, a new limited edition collectible to celebrate?
And so it is that Super 7 is releasing the limited-edition Toho Ultimates! Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color figure today at 1:30 p.m. ET. It’s based on designs approved by the film’s director Takashi Yamazaki and measures over eight inches tall and 14 inches long. The figure will be on sale for this week only and then be gone forever. Or, if 1,500 of them sell before that, that’s it.
Check out some images of this beautiful figure.
Godzilla Minus One was just the first-ever Japanese film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and its black and white version will be in theaters for one week only starting today. “I was very happy that the North American audience embraced Godzilla Minus One and gave us positive feedback such as ‘it was incredible!,’ ‘it was scary!,’ and ‘it made me cry!’” Yamazaki said. “And now I am very pleased to be able to release a black-and-white version for North America as well. Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color will bring a new and visceral experience to audiences and I hope they will tremble with a new kind of terror!”
See the movie, buy the figure, and just be all things Godzilla, all the time. Head to Super7.com for more.
