Reddit crashed on Monday afternoon eastern time, seemingly down for lots of users.
The issue, however, didn’t appear to last long. The site redditstatus.com which, you guessed it, tracks Reddit’s status first noted it was noticing issues around 12:47 p.m. eastern time.
“We’re investigating an issue that’s left many of our web and mobile platforms unavailable. Responders are working to restore service,” a statement read.
By 1:22 p.m. ET — just 35 minutes later — the problem appeared to be under control.
“We identified the issue and we’re bringing services back online,” the company wrote while providing no encourage details as of around 2 p.m. eastern time.
Though the issue was short-lived lots of folks seemed to have experiences the outage.
Reports of issues skyrocketed on Down Detector on Monday afternoon, but appeared to be returning to normal levels not long after.
