Despite previous predictions of an M3 refresh for the 13-inch MacBook Pro at Apple’s October event, a new report says it’s still in development and is unlikely to be unveiled soon.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro has seemed an oddity in Apple’s lineup, despite being updated with an M2 processor in 2022. It’s the last remaining MacBook Pro to have a Touch Bar, for instance, and in terms of price and performance, the MacBook Air and the 14-inch MacBook Pro appear to be the better buy.
Nonetheless, it has been reported that a refresh is coming for the 13-inch MacBook Pro, to the extent that it’s codename of J504 is known. At points, that model has been predicted for before the end of 2024.
Bloomberg says that the model is not ready for launch, and adds only that when it comes, it will have the base version of the M3 processor.
