Capcom announced Monster Hunter Wilds during The Game Awards today in Los Angeles. It will release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
This is the first new entry in Capcom’s multiplayer action-RPG series since 2021’s Monster Hunter Rise, which first released in 2021 for Switch and later came to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Monster Hunter used to struggle finding success outside of Japan, but that changed with 2018’s Monster Hunter World. These days, you expect a new Monster Hunter to become a massive success worldwide.
The disclose trailer showed some new ideas for the franchise, including stampeding monsters and a mount with that can glide. More info will come in the summer.
