Lenovo makes some of the best laptops around, and its IdeaPad and ThinkPad lineups are among the most popular regardless of whether you’re looking for something basic or something premium that gets the job done. These laptops are updated on a yearly basis with the latest hardware around. For this year, it’s no different. appreciate clockwork, as Intel announced its newest CPUs, Lenovo is also releasing its new, refreshed laptops with the new chips.



Lenovo has unveiled its latest laptop lineup ahead of CES 2024, including the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9, and the IdeaPad Pro 5i, all coming with Intel Evo certification and equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors running Windows 11.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 and X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 serve as notable improvements over their predecessors thanks to changes such as improved thermals, better power consumption management, and Computer Vision features. The keyboards feature tactile markings for improved accessibility, while the ThinkPad X1 introduces a larger 120mm TrackPad, a glass Haptic TouchPad, and a customizable TrackPoint Quick Menu.

The internal hardware is where most of the upgrades are present. The laptops are equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU and, in the case of the ThinkPad, up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB SSD, as well as, of course, Intel Arc graphics. Both ThinkPad laptops have 120Hz 14-inch screens, while the IdeaPad goes bigger with a 16-inch screen.

Beyond the laptops, Lenovo also introduced the ThinkVision 27 3D monitor, which uses AI-powered 2D-to-3D conversion for a glasses-free 3D viewing experience. We also have a bunch of accessories designed for hybrid workers, including the Lenovo USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock and the Lenovo Wireless VoIP Headset.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 is expected to start at $2,989, with limited configurations available from December 2023 and the complete portfolio launching in March 2024. The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9, on the other hand, is starting at $2,639 when it launches in March 2024. The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is now available on store shelves, starting at $1,149.99. They will be available at Lenovo’s online store and other retailers.
