For most situations, your regular Samsung Galaxy camera is all you’ll need to successfully take long-exposure photos. To go about the process, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Camera app.
  2. Select More.
  3. Turn on Pro Mode.
  4. Choose your desired ISO.
  5. Choose your desired Shutter Speed with 30 seconds being the longest you can expose the image.

Ensuring your camera is as steady as possible will go a long way in achieving a desirable image. Investing in a quality tripod will benefit you in this regard and you can also turn on your phone’s 2-second timer to avoid additional shaking. Depending on your location’s lighting, you may also need to experiment with the shutter speed before finding a setting that works best for you.

The Galaxy’s camera app will usually be more than enough to suit most people’s needs. However, if you are looking to expand what’s possible with your long-exposure photos, there are other potential solutions to be had.
