Core Celoxis features

Score: 4.9/5

To deliver on its declaration as a comprehensive and collaborative solution, here are some of the top features offered by Celoxis.

Resource management

The resource planning and management tools allow managers to get the most out of their resources. This is done with the help of real-time reporting and easy task allocation using parameters such as project requirements, availability and employee skills. Celoxis’ resource planning feature also factors in employee vacations and notifies managers if any employee is overloaded with work (Figure A).

Project portfolio management

With Celoxis project portfolio management tools, you can get the capability to manage multiple projects. This feature is especially useful for project managers and business owners who need to supervise a full portfolio of projects simultaneously. The dynamic dashboards are updated in real-time. In addition, users can access various reports to help manage project portfolios (Figure B).

Budget and time tracking

With its budget and time tracking tools, Celoxis users can keep track of project financials (Figure D) without needing to integrate with a third-party application. Celoxis can be used to run cost projects, revenue forecasting and time tracking. However, you will need third-party integration if you need an invoicing system.

Celoxis ease of use

Score: 3.2/5

Celoxis’ onboarding is quite hands-on by the platform. To sign up for a 14-day free trial, you’d have to use your business email and wait for an invitation to an online meeting to collaborate with Celoxis and explore your requirements. But this proves to be frustrating for prospective users who just want to immediately test the tool for themselves without handholding.

Nonetheless, Celoxis is easy to set up and has an intuitive user interface, which helps mitigate the initial onboarding frustrations. The platform has a native mobile app, enhancing accessibility and convenience for users on the move, and supports built-in automations through Zapier, although this means built-in automations are limited. It’s also a highly scalable platform, meaning Celoxis can effectively grow with a business, adapting to increasing complexity and user numbers.

Celoxis customer service and support

Score: 3.9/5

Celoxis delivers customer service and support through tools like a knowledge base and forums, alongside 24/7 availability.

Knowledge base and help center

Celoxis offers an extensive knowledge base and help center, equipped with a wide range of articles, guides and FAQs. Users can take a self-service approach to troubleshooting as it’s meant to empower them to find solutions independently.

Service channels

Celoxis provides a knowledge base and forums to address user inquiries and issues. These resources can feel rather limited since these two avenues are the bare minimum of what you’d expect such a platform to offer.

Availability and responsiveness

The support team at Celoxis is available 24/7, with a focus on providing timely and effective assistance. It’s not only highly available but also highly responsive.

Live training

Aside from the onboarding meeting at the sign-up stage, Celoxis doesn’t offer live training sessions to facilitate continuous education. These sessions would help users maximize the platform’s capabilities and improve their overall experience, but the tool is quite intuitive, so they may not be necessary.

Celoxis pros and cons

Pros Cons
Easy to set up and use. No free version available, limiting trial options.
Highly customizable, including several options to customize the dashboards. No proofing tools for collaborative file reviews.
Excellent reporting and analytics tools. No free version available, limiting trial options.
Built-in budgeting and resource management tools. Onboarding can be frustrating.
