Darewise Entertainment and Animoca Brands Japan today announced they have partnered with Honda on a new project. It plans to bring transportation and vehicle-based gameplay to Darewise’s upcoming blockchain-based online game, Life Beyond. Darewise and Honda will work together to build gameplay and game assets, as well as activities and Ordinals based on Honda’s vehicles. Players will be able to use Honda’s assets to travel around the in-game world of Dolos.
Benjamin Charbit, Darewise’s CEO, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to establish a deep relationship with Honda as our key automotive partner. In addition to adding to in-game utility and style, we think that the ideation and innovation generated by this collaboration will enhance the game experience tremendously.”
Life Beyond is a free-to-play online title with a player-driven tokenized economy based on NFTs. Darewise revealed the game — originally teased as “Project C” — in 2019. It touted the game’s persistent open world where players could build up an in-game society. Animoca Brands acquired 70% of Darewise in 2022.
