Viewing Apple Vision Pro in augmented reality

Apple enthusiasts can now experience the much-anticipated Apple Vision Pro in augmented reality (AR) through the Apple Store app as the tech giant gears up to reveal in-store availability details for its spatial computer.

Inside the Apple Store app is a section for the Apple Vision Pro. Tap on that, then scroll down to find a section called “View in your space.” The preview allows for a detailed product examination from various angles, complete with realistic shadows.

Anticipation is high for the physical release of the Apple Vision Pro, especially regarding its availability in retail stores. Apple has planned special demo events at its stores during the launch weekend, aiming to persuade customers of the device’s merits.

Before the demonstration starts, an Apple Store employee will use an app to scan the customer’s face, similar to how Face ID is set up. The scan helps determine the appropriate size of light seal, foam cushion, and band for the customer’s head and face.

The employee will guide the customer through interacting with the headset’s interface, which includes using eye tracking and gestures for selection, adjusting the headset, and using the Digital Crown. The employee will use an iPad to view what the customer sees during the demo.

Following a brief calibration involving tracking and tapping exercises, the demonstration, lasting between 20 to 25 minutes, will start.
