Dive team members appeared to be using underwater equipment around the area where the body was discovered.

Officers surrounded an open gate near the park’s naval monument that allowed access to the shoreline.

Windsor police had a large area along the waterfront closed with police caution as several people watched the effort to recover the body.

Several officers brought the body on shore, placing it in a body bag.

Police would not comment on the incident or identify the body, saying the next of kin had to be notified.
