Here is a partial list of what will be open and closed in Montreal on Fête nationale on Monday, June 24.

Government offices including Revenu Québec, Accès Montréal and municipal court will be closed.

Canada Post offices will be closed, with no mail collection or delivery.

Garbage, recycling and compost collection will be maintained.

Ecocentres will be open.

The city’s 311 information line will be open.

Schedules for libraries, pools, sports venues and cultural centres vary from borough to borough, so the city recommends checking individual locations. Visit montreal.ca for more details.

Montreal’s public markets — like Atwater and Jean-Talon — will be open.

Espace pour la vie attractions — the Biodome, Insectarium, Botanical Garden, Planetarium and Biosphere — will be open according to regular hours.

Parking rules and restrictions will remain in effect, including parking meters.

All Société des alcools du Québec and Société québécoise du cannabis locations will be closed.

Banks will be closed.

Malls and Large grocery stores will be closed. Some small ones may remain open.

Pharmacies are permitted to remain open, but may choose to close.

Public transit services will operate on holiday schedules. Montreal buses and métro will run on a special holiday schedule. Laval transit buses will run on a Saturday schedule and Longueuil buses on a Sunday schedule. Exo trains will run on a Sunday schedule and Exo buses mainly on a Saturday schedule.
