Located on the ground floor of Concord Pacific’s condo project The Arc at 988 Expo Blvd., Club Kitchen is a new, centrally located concept in prepared food pickup and delivery. It opened on May 9.
What is Club Kitchen?

Club Kitchen puts multiple kitchens under one roof. Customers can order from any or all of the occupying restaurants at once, with one bill, for delivery or pickup via the website or in-person at a digital kiosk. A concierge in the storefront area co-ordinates orders for customers or delivery person pickup. At the moment, seven restaurants are in the 13-kitchen facility. There is also some seating — 17 inside and about 60 in The Arc’s concourse area.

“The goal is to lower entry fees and startup costs for restaurants as well as provide choice and solution for customers in the downtown Vancouver area,” said operations manager JJ Fraser. “We’ve been working on this project for about three years. We wanted to provide a new take on opening a restaurant downtown.”
There’s no minimum order but delivery fees are reduced for orders over $50.

What makes Club Kitchen unique?
Club Kitchen’s downtown location gives its members access to more than 100,000 potential customers within a 10-minute delivery radius. By partnering with food-delivery services Uber Eats, DoorDash and SkipTheDishes, the restaurants can reach over 100,000 potential customers within a three kilometre delivery radius. Additionally, the restaurants don’t have to employ front-of-house staff. For consumers, Club Kitchen offers them the opportunity to order from several different restaurants at once — one delivery or pickup, one bill, lots of choices.

Rather than introducing new businesses, Club Kitchen is partnering with established names. Hello Nori, Dragon Bowl, Barbarella Pizza, IndiCo (Indian food, tacos), Hui Lau Shan (Hong Kong desserts), Chirpyhut (burgers, fried chicken), and Pearl Castle (Taiwanese dishes) are now open. Two more should be joining them before the end of May, Fraser said. The intention is to avoid doubling up with the same kinds of food and “curating the lineup to provide choice. If we have four sushi restaurants, that doesn’t really give selection options.”
Who is Club Kitchen for?
Club Kitchen is ideal for group orders, parties, and office lunches. “If you’re with a group or maybe doing a party or an office lunch, everyone can choose what they want on a single ticket,” Fraser said. “And that’s even more beneficial if it’s being ordered for delivery because you’re only paying one delivery fee. But it’s really about choice and selection and the ability for everyone to get what they want.”
