Police in New Brunswick have arrested two suspects believed to be involved in a stolen vehicle incident in Halifax.

On March 8, at roughly 3:30 a.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle in Timberlea and shortly after, HRP found the stolen black Volkswagen Golf and attempted to stop it on Chain Lake Drive in Halifax.

Police say the driver did not stop and as the police cruiser followed, a dark coloured Ford pickup truck struck the officer’s vehicle, causing it to leave the road.

The two suspect vehicles then fled the area and the officer was not physically injured.

At roughly 11:40 p.m. officers found the Volkswagen Golf parked and unoccupied near Grand Haven Boulevard.

On March 15, HRP said police in New Brunswick arrested two suspects who may have been involved in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
