Tisdale RCMP are hunting for a man charged with a number of firearms offences after an incident on Kinistin Saulteaux Nation on June 4.

In a news release on June 7, police said officers had been called to a home on the First Nation after receiving a report about a man threatening two people with a gun. No shots were fired and no one was injured, and police said the man then ran away.

RCMP have charged 39-year-old Kenneth Iron from Kinistin Saulteaux Nation with a number of firearms offences and are looking for him. Police said Iron is around 6-foot tall and weighs 185 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Police said he may be driving a yellow GMC Sonoma with Saskatchewan plate 347 MWF, adding this could not be confirmed.

Iron’s charges include pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless use of a firearm.

Police are asking anyone who sees him not to approach Iron but report any sightings and information to Tisdale RCMP on 310-RCMP or to inform Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
