City police charged a 17-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl after a robbery on Thursday night.

Officers responded to a robbery in progress at a business in the 1600 block of 33rd Street West around 8:50 p.m., police said in a news release on Friday.

When they arrived, they found several people suffering from the effects of bear spray exposure. The suspects had fled.

“Upon further investigation, officers obtained video evidence that assisted in learning suspect descriptions,” the release said.

The officers found the suspects a short time later.

The 17-year-old is charged with robbery and several weapons offences and the 13-year-old is charged with robbery and obstructing a peace officer.
