Two of Regina’s biggest outdoor summer events — the Queen City Exhibition and Cathedral Village Arts Festival — have finalized their live music lineups for 2024.

QCX, which runs July 31 to Aug. 4 at REAL District, is again offering nightly live music on the Original 16 outdoor stage in Confederation Park.

The headliner is three-time Grammy winner Ludacris, who appeared with Usher in this year’s Super Bowl halftime show in Las Vegas. He’s also known for his recurring role as Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious film series.

The outdoor concerts at QCX are included with general gate admission, but a limited number of advance premium passes are available now for the VIP Patio or Fan Zone (via realdistrict.ca). Premium Fan Zone passes are also on sale for the Pile O’ Bones Rodeo, which runs Aug. 1-2 in the Brandt Centre.

This year’s QCX also includes performances by the Powwow Times International Dance Troupe at the Mostos Indigenous Village, along with the Extreme Zone featuring Full Send BMX, the Super Dogs, and a strongman competition.

Advance gate admission passes and daytrippers go on sale May 14 at realdistrict.ca and the Brandt Centre box office.

Meanwhile, Regina’s Andy Shauf is headlining this year’s Cathedral Village Arts Festival, which runs May 20-25 in the Cathedral neighbourhood.

The Juno-nominated singer, who now lives in Toronto, released his ninth studio album last year, Norm. His performances is scheduled to close the festival on May 25, 9 p.m., in the Holy Rosary Park tent.

Among the other music acts set to perform at this year’s festival are: Kawacatoose Boys Singers & Dance Troupe, Northern Lights Blue Grass and Old Thyme Music Society Band (May 20), Kyrie Kristmanson (May 23), Marshall Burns, Jack Semple and his Family Band, Shotgun Jimmie, Jake & the Kid (May 24), and Marissa Burwell (May 25).
