22-year-old Karan Brar and Kamalpreet Singh, along with 28-year-old Karanpreet Singh have been confirmed as Indian nationals living in Edmonton.

EPS assisted in the arrests of the suspects.

RCMP says they are also investigating the connection between the suspects and other murders across Canada.

When asked point blank if there is a connection to the murder of 41-year-old Harpreet Uppal and his 11-year-old son in Edmonton on November 9, RCMP would not comment as they said it’s a different investigation.

A former police investigator says the magnitude of these investigations compares them to events in Canadian history like the mob in Montreal in the late 1900’s and international groups like the Hells Angels. But he credits the organizations involved in the arrests saying it’s never easy.
