A 16-year-old has been charged with assault with a weapon following an incident where a 15-year-old was sprayed with a noxious substance.
Windsor police said they received a report of an assault Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., in the 2700 block of Lillian Avenue.

A 15-year-old male had been approached by the older teen who allegedly yelled a racial slur and then sprayed the younger youth in the face with a chemical before fleeing the scene.

The younger male was taken to hospital with what police describe as “minor physical injuries.”
Officers identified and located the suspect, who was arrested at his residence.
Police said the youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will be charged with assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance and failing to comply with a release order.
