It’s hopefully one last blast of winter.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Ottawa with 15 to 20 cm forecast.
The weather agency says rain will transition to snow during the late afternoon or early evening on Wednesday, April 3 and continue into Thursday, April 4.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour are expected, leading to reduced visibility.
Poor travel conditions are expected due to rapidly accumulating snow, especially during the morning commute on Thursday.
Also, with temperatures sitting very close to the freezing mark, the snow may be very heavy and wet in nature and utility outages are possible as a result.
