An Ottawa woman has been handed a 30-day licence suspension after being caught speeding on Highway 416.

Members of the Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a driver going 168 km/h on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Officers also discovered the 23-year-old woman was unlicensed.

The vehicle has been impounded for 14 days and the woman faces a minimum $2,000 fine and six demerits points if convicted.
