Police located the vehicle and the lone occupant was arrested and transported to the detachment for further testing.

Search warrants were issued and officers from a number of squads, including members of the force’s biker enforcement unit and organized crime, searched the vehicle.

“(This) resulted in the seizure of approximately 125 kg of crystal methamphetamine (estimated street value of $7.5 million).” police said in the release.

Police also seized a prohibited firearm, a noise suppressor, an unspecified amount of cash and the motor vehicle.

The suspect is charged with impaired driving, and charges of possession and trafficking.

The suspect is to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 4.

The investigation is continuing.
