Saskatoon police are investigating a fatal collision that happened in the Kelsey Woodlawn neighbourhood on Tuesday evening.

Around 6:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision at Quebec Avenue near 39th Street East, police said in a Wednesday news release.

Investigating officers learned a speeding truck had collided with an SUV.

“The four occupants of the SUV were transported to hospital in critical condition where a 22-year-old woman passenger succumbed to her injuries,” the release said.

The 23-year-old man who was driving the truck was arrested and faces charges that include three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving causing death.

Impairment was not a factor in the crash, police said.
