Local big band Nil-A-Nova is returning to Mackenzie Hall this month for a benefit concert to help preservation efforts at the historic West Windsor building.

Nil-A-Nova, a slang term for Nothing New, focuses on music from the big band era of the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s with multiple horns and a rhythm section.

All proceeds from event will go toward projects of the Friends of the Court, the volunteer organization dedicated to the ongoing preservation and promotion of Mackenzie Hall as a cultural centre.

The concert happens March 17 at Mackenzie Hall. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. The music starts at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

You can reserve tickets with an e-transfer to friendsofthecourttreasury@gmail.com.  Include “NOVA tickets” on the memo line.
