This year’s protest calls for the reduction of the use of oil, and the unclothed event is designed to put a spotlight on alternative transportation options.

“I’m excited to be participating in Toronto’s World Naked Bike Ride to highlight the over-usage of oil and urban pollution while endorsing cycling safety on our streets,” Adams said in a statement.

“There’s something incredibly liberating about cruising through the city on a bike, feeling the wind against my skin, and making great memories as we pedal through the heart of this incredible city.”

“Being a part of the Naked News team for 15 of its 25 years has been an incredible experience. When I started back in 2009, I never imagined that this role would become such a defining part of my life,” she recently told the Daily Star.

“Here’s to 15 amazing years, and hopefully many more to come,” she added.

The dress code for the World Naked Bike Ride is, as always, “as bare as you dare,” but protesting riders are welcome to wear clothing.

It kicks off on June 8 at 1 p.m. at Toronto’s Coronation Park.
