A Masstown, N.S. man was arrested by the Nova Scotia RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit over the long weekend.
The Provincial RCMP’s ICE unit assisted by Colchester County RCMP and the RCMP Digital Forensic Services, executed a warrant at a home in Masstown after being tipped off.
Authorities in Lincoln City, Ore. told RCMP a person was communicating with another person believed to be talking to a child in a sexual manner.
Wayne Missons, 25, was arrested and charged with luring a child, possession of child pornography, transmitting child pornography, making sexually explicit material available to children and inciting bestiality.
Missions was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on July 10.
“In Nova Scotia, it’s mandatory for citizens to report suspected child pornography,” a press release from the RCMP reads. “Anyone who encounters child pornography material or recordings must report it to the police.”
