Every single Blue Jays affiliate won their game on Sunday.

For the first time in a while, the Buffalo Bisons, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Vancouver Canadians, and the Dunedin Blue Jays all won their games, while the FCL Blue Jays weren’t in action.

Let’s dig into the latest Minor League Report!

Buffalo won the series finale 8-3

With the 8-3 win over the St. Paul Saints, the Buffalo Bisons have moved their record to 27-24, good enough for fourth in the International League East division.

Addison Barger hit his sixth home run of the season, driving in three runs with one swing of the bat in the bottom of the third.

Riley Tirotta and Spencer Horwitz both hit doubles, with the latter’s 17th double being tied for the most in the International League. Steward Berroa also hit his first triple of the season, which is rather surprising given his speed. All three of these players had two hits, as did Nathan Lukes. On top of that, Rafael Lantigua, Leo Jimenez, and Cam Eden all had one single.

Yariel Rodríguez made the start in what was his second rehab appearance, finishing with a line of 1.2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 1 K. The first pitcher out of the bullpen was Beau Sulser, who gave up two earned runs but struck out three in 2.1 innings pitched. Mike Mayers pitched a clean inning striking out two batters, while Hayden Juenger pitched a scoreless inning with one hit allowed.

Joel Kuhnel continued to pitch well in a Bisons uniform, allowing three hits in an inning and a third pitched, but didn’t allow a run to bring his season ERA to 1.04. Mason Fluharty allowed a run and a walk, but struck out a batter in an inning and a third.

New Hampshire won in a blowout

It was a run-filled game for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, who defeated the Somerset Patriots 13-1 to bring their season record to 20-25. Despite the score, the Patriots actually took the lead in the top of the third before a five-run inning for the Fisher Cats in the next half inning.

The team finished with three home runs on the day, two of which were from Alex De Jesus, the prospect acquired in the Mitch White deal. It’s been a tough start to De Jesus’ season, as he’s slashing .230/.314/.360 into his first foray in Double-A, but this is a good sign.

Rainer Nuñez hit the other home run, his third of the season. As for the extra-base hits, De Jesus and Nuñez both hit doubles, while Alan Roden and Gabriel Martinez had singles. De Jesus, Roden, Nuñez, and Devonte Brown all had multi-hit games.

Adam Macko had the start for New Hampshire and it was once again a great one for the 23-year-old, finishing with a line of 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K to bring his season ERA to 3.68. Alejandro Melean pitched a clean inning with a strike out, while Adrián Hernández struck out a batter and walked one in an inning. Ryan Boyer struck out two in a clean inning of work.

Vancouver split the series

The Vancouver Canadians were in the midst of a six-game losing streak, but after Sunday’s 5-1 win, they have now won three straight to move their season record to 19-22.

Sadly, there were no home runs hit for the Canadians in this game, but Jeffrey Wehler and Ryan McCarty both hit doubles, with the latter hitting his eighth double of the season. Wehler was one of two players with a multi-hit game, as Jackson Hornung also had two singles in the game. Other players with a hit were Nick Goodwin and Glenn Santiago.

Lazaro Estrada had a good bounce back outing, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 K to bring his season ERA with the Canadians to 3.45. Carson Pierce picked up the win, striking out a batter while giving up an earned run and two walks in an inning and a third. Grayson Thurman pitched 0.2 innings and gave up a hit and a walk.

Justin Kelly pitched up a hold with a strikeout in a clean inning, while Alex Amalfi struck out a batter and gave up two hits in a scoreless ninth inning.

Dunedin have won three in a row

Like the Vancouver Canadians, the Dunedin Blue Jays are on a three-game win streak, defeating the Bradenton Marauders 8-7, nearly blowing the lead.

Tucker Toman hit his fourth home run of the season, a great sign for a player who has struggled at the Single-A level. It’s been a better season than last for Toman, as he’s slashing .234/.319/.369, one home run shy of matching his total from last season.

Manuel Beltre hit the team’s other home run, while Edward Duran and Bryce Arnold hit the two doubles for the team. Toman had two hits, while Jean Joseph had three of the nine D-Jays hits. Victor Arias also had a single.

Gage Stanifer had his best start of the season, finishing with a line of 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K while giving up a home run. Over his last 12 innings, Stanifer has given up two earned runs while striking out 16 batters. Kai Peterson struck out four and gave up two walks in two innings pitched.

Jordan Powell had a rough outing, giving up five earned runs in an inning pitched, while striking out the side and walking two batters. Felipe Bello gave up an earned run, but picked up his first save of the season in an inning pitched.
