A man faces charges of making threats against Jewish people and defacing a poster of a Jewish hostage in Vancouver last fall.
Police say Mircea Iulian Pripoae, 33, was charged after witnesses reported the vandalism of a poster of Israeli hostages and a man using antisemitic and threatening language near Main Street and East King Edward Avenue on Oct. 22, 2023 — weeks after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack and Israeli military response in Gaza.
