Edmonton police say a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection to a sexual assault at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre last week.

EPS says they were alerted to the alleged incident on March 5, saying a report indicated a 13-year-old girl entered a family change room stall and was followed by an unknown man who sexually assaulted her.

On March 6, police issued a press release asking for the public’s help in finding the man believed to be connected. The following morning, the suspect turned himself into police.
