A 37-year-old Lloydminster man is facing a slew of weapons and child luring charges after police searched a home last week.

On April 16, police executed a search warrant at a home in Lloydminster, approximately 250 kilometres east of Edmonton, after an investigation into child luring and invitation to sexual touching, police said in a Monday afternoon news release. Upon arrival, officers discovered further evidence of weapons manufacturing at the home.

As a result, police seized a large quantity of items, including 17 hard drives, computers and phones, three 3D printed hand guns, two assault rifles, one sub machine gun, a 3D printer and assorted 3D printed firearm pieces.

Steven Kier of Lloydminster has been charged with sexual touching, child luring, breach of probation, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of firearm contrary to order and non-compliance to a conditional sentence order.

Kier remains in custody and is due in Lloydminster court on April 24.
