Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will take the stand today at the public inquiry into foreign interference in Canadian elections.
The Public Inquiry on Foreign Interference is investigating allegations that China interfered in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections, which saw Trudeau’s Liberals defeat Andrew Scheer and Erin O’Toole’s Conservative party.

The inquiry has heard from a number of top bureaucrats in recent days. Last week, O’Toole, the former Conservative leader, testified that foreign interference may have cost his party nine seats in the 2021 election.
