A section of Jefferson Street in Windsor will be shut down for the next nine months as crews perform sewer, pavement, and water main work.
The City of Windsor said Jefferson Street, located along a stretch of the larger Jefferson Boulevard, was closed between Coronation Street and South National Street on Monday. It will remain closed on Nov. 25.

Neighbourhood residents will only be able to access this section of Jefferson at Coronation Street.
The intersection of Jefferson and South National Street will also be closed for sewer work until March 18.
Detour signs will be up, and the city is urging motorists to avoid the area.
