A 16-year-old girl was being treated for a wound at a hospital after someone shot her on Saturday night in a Vaughan parking lot.
York Regional Police officers said they were seeking witnesses after the teen was shot at 8:50 p.m. in the Weston Rd.-Hwy. 7 area.

Officers found the girl suffering from injuries when they arrived at the scene of the crime. She was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was an unplanned car meet going on in the area at the time of the shooting, with over 100 people in attendance.
There is no suspect description at this time.
Police are treating this as an isolated incident.
