Mid-afternoon baseball at the Rogers Centre? Count me in.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to continue their many firsts of the season, having secured their first home win, their first series win, and their first back-to-back wins. Today, they’ll look to win three straight for the first time and secure their first sweep of the series.

It’s all come at a great time for the Jays, who have had tremendous pitching performances this week from Jose Berrios and Chris Bassitt in games one and two of this series.

As well, the Jays have had their bats heat up. The top of the order has started to do some damage, in thanks to Bo Bichette’s Tuesday home run that helped propel them to victory, as well as some better at-bats from George Springer and Vladimir Gurrero Jr.

But an unexpected boost from the bottom of the lineup has played key, as Isiah Kiner-Falefa has gone 5-for-8 at the plate, driving in two runs for a 1.500 OPS. Cavan Biggio, meanwhile, has continued his hot start going 3-for-6 himself.

The Jays will need them, as well as Yusei Kikuchi on the mound, to put up another strong performance this afternoon.
