Leduc County is under a fire ban until further notice.
Dry conditions and high winds has put the area at a high risk of wildfires.

In a press release, Leduc County said no outdoor fires of any kind are allowed, including open burning fires contained to approved burn barrels, fire pits or charcoal barbecues. Current fires that are burning must be extinguished immediately.
No fireworks are allowed to be discharged.
All fire permits are suspended and no new permits will be issued until the ban is over.
Residents can use cooking and heating appliances including barbecues, fire pits and patio heaters that are fueled by liquid fuel such as propane or natural gas.
