Users of Meta’s popular social media apps found themselves unable to scroll Tuesday morning.
What appears to be a widespread outage was affecting Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
Andy Stone, Meta’s head of communications, acknowledged the issues on X.
“We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now,” Stone wrote.
Internet traffic observer Down Detector reported vast outages across the world, suggesting the issue could be global.
