EPS says on June 12, officers responded to a report of a “sudden death” at a home near 92 Street 110A Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead with what has been described as “suspicious injuries.”

An autopsy was later conducted and the body was confirmed to be 32-year-old Lance Galbraith, also known as Scrappy.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner also ruled the death as non-criminal, however, after further examination the manner of death was reclassified to undetermined.

“The EPS doesn’t typically release the name of a deceased individual unless the death has been confirmed to be a homicide,” says EPS Homicide Staff Sgt. Rob Bilawey.

“However, in this instance, we are releasing his name for an investigative purpose in an effort to hopefully generate some new information, witnesses and tips in relation to Mr. Galbraith’s death.”

Police are asking if anyone has any information regarding the death of Galbraith to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
