We may be entering that transition period between winter and spring, but the winter weather isn’t giving up without a fight. Tuesday’s forecast calls for what may be the final blast of snow for 2024, with light snow throughout the day followed by a 60 per cent chance of flurries overnight — and a high of -15 C with a wind chill of -20. That wind chill will be how the seasonal frost will make its final stand, with a wind chill of -30 overnight Tuesday, and -31 Wednesday morning with a high of -13.

Just because the rest of the week is going to be above zero doesn’t eliminate the risk of frostbite over the next few days. With these kinds of temperatures and wind chills, always make sure to wear warm clothes and winter boots, and to keep a spare set of gloves in the car! You never know when you might have a slip on the road and have to keep yourself warm while you wait for a tow.
