On Wednesday we continue to face what may be the final blast of winter’s chill — a mix of sun and cloud and 15 km/h winds that will bring a wind chill of up to -33. While the high may be above zero for Thursday — 1 C to be exact –, the frigid winds won’t have died down yet, which means the wind chill will still be at -24! The intense wind chills may follow us throughout the week as it warms up, as is often the case when warming temperatures clash with cold winds.

As I said, even though the rest of the week is going to be above zero, the risk of frostbite is still very real. With these kinds of temperatures and wind chills, always make sure to wear warm clothes and winter boots, and to keep a spare set of gloves in the car! You never know when you might have a slip on the road and have to keep yourself warm while you wait for a tow.
