Connor McDavid will make his Stanley Cup final debut as his Edmonton Oilers face the Florida Panthers.
Game 1 is Saturday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Fla.
The 27-year-old McDavid is a three-time Hart Trophy winner as the NHL’s most valuable player.
He’s also a five-time Art Ross Trophy award winner as the league’s highest points getter.
Despite that, McDavid’s never been able to play for a Stanley Cup.
He was selected first overall by the Oilers in 2015 in an NHL Draft held at the Panthers’ arena in South Florida.
