For the record, the Raptors got off to a solid start when shots from three-point range dropped with alarming frequency. But Toronto’s solid play would be short-lived.

Once the Pelicans found their groove, they kept their foot on the gas. With five minutes left in the second quarter, the visitors had scored 61 points and the rout was on.

When this Raptors team is depleted, lacking depth and short on size, the margin for error is zero, which pretty much summed up Toronto’s shot of ending its homestand with a split.
