Doesn’t anyone remember 1994 or 2011, when we were in the Stanley Cup Final? There was no news coverage east of the Rockies.

Canada was indifferent and didn’t care that there was a Canadian city in the final then. All of the U.S. was cheering for the Rangers and the Bruins, two large market American cities.

Now, you want us to overlook the fact that Edmonton has won five Cups and is well-positioned to win another? If the shoe was on the other foot, I doubt there would be many Canadians cheering for Vancouver.

I say, Oilers, I hope you go down in four.

The issue of overcrowding on public transit is getting worse every year and nothing seems to be getting done to actually address it. I live in Surrey and riding both the 502 as well as the 503 bus routes have been a royal pain in the neck. If you see an empty seat in the far back, good luck trying to shove your way through people that block the aisles.
