Broadway Across Canada has announced its 2024-25 season, which will feature seven theatrical productions at Calgary’s Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

This season’s four-show package includes the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, based on Tim Burton’s beloved film.
The story of the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina — The Tina Turner Musical, is described by show organizers as an uplifting comeback story like no other. It’s the winner of 23 awards in the 2021-22 Broadway season, including the Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.
Also in the package is Six as well, as the much-anticipated return of Disney’s The Lion King.
Additionally, this season boasts three specials, kicking off with Canada’s beloved musical Come From Away, which The New York Times has hailed “the best musical this century,” The Book of Mormon, and Riverdance 30 — The New Generation.
“We’re thrilled to bring this stellar lineup of Broadway productions to Calgary for the 2024-2025 season,” said Broadway Across Canada vice-president Shana Levin in a statement Monday. “Each show this season offers a unique and unforgettable experience, promising laughter, tears, and everything in between. We can’t wait to share these incredible stories with our audiences in Southern Alberta and remain honoured to be a part of the vibrant theatre community in Calgary.”
