The charity golf event takes place Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Willows Golf and Country Club followed by a dinner.
The annual event is put on by Synergy 8 Community Builders.
“We are extremely excited to have Adam Hadwin agree to come to Saskatoon” said Troy Davies, Synergy 8 campaign chair.
Taylor is among those getting an assist to bring out Hadwin, who was born in Moose Jaw but grew up in British Columbia, to Saskatchewan this coming fall.
“Over the past 15 years we have brought in some golf legends that include Fred Couples, John Daly, Tom Watson and many more. Over the last couple years, we have focused on Canadian golfers as they are quickly becoming some of the best golfers in the world. Mackenzie Hughes and Nick Taylor (previous guests over the past couple years) helped us out by calling Adam and sharing how amazing the people are in Saskatoon, and for Adam to come check us out.”
Other past guests include golfers Nick Faldo, Nick Price, Retief Goosen, Curtis Strange, David Duval and Darren Clarke, among others.
The Synergy 8 Community Builders is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is to “cultivate and foster collaboration with local businesses and community stakeholders to identify needs that will benefit all children in Saskatchewan.”
Each year, Synergy 8 hosts the “Drive for Kids Campaign” which includes sport celebrities from the PGA Tour, NHL, and CFL. Since 2009, Synergy 8 has raised $11.65-million that has gone back into the community of Saskatoon and surrounding area.
