Edmonton police say two people have been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of a 64-year-old man in northeast Edmonton last weekend.
EPS says officers were called around 7:30 p.m. about a suspicious death at a home at 135A Avenue and 68 Street.
Police say a man and woman from the home contacted police to report the death.

An autopsy was completed and identified the man as 64-year-old Brian Rud. The autopsy also confirmed Rud’s manner of death was a homicide.
EPS note in their initial report of the death, they listed the man’s age as 65-years-old, which was later corrected in the autopsy.
At the time of the incident the man and woman who police found at the home were taken into custody.
Police have charged 32-year-old Matthew Battrick and 24-year-old Mary Gillard each with second-degree murder.
