Your editorial on Sudan’s forgotten war is timely — 8mn displaced, 18mn in acute hunger (February 26). Why is the western world near silent on this catastrophe? Why are there no marches for “Free Sudan”? It also makes clear a “two-state solution” is meaningless without proper governance. Sudan was split into two states. The north is now engaged in a ghastly civil war. Simplistic slogans of this kind are no substitute for realities.
