Ukraine has confirmed on Monday evening that 19 fighters of the 128th assault brigade of Zakarpattia were killed in a deadly Russian missile strike in the Zaporizhia region.
The attack took place on 3 November and the 128th separate mountain assault brigade was hit with an Iskander-M missile leaving a total of 19 killed and many wounded.
The Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky said that criminal proceedings have now started amid the death of 19 soldiers.
In a message on Facebook a statement reads, “A missile strike by an insidious enemy claimed the lives of 19 fighters of the 128th separate mountain assault Zakarpattia brigade.
“Now a thorough check of all the circumstances of the tragedy is being carried out, until its end we ask not to distribute unverified, often fake information.”
