Not Just Travel and its network of homeworking travel consultants are celebrating January 2024 as the biggest ever month for sales in the company’s 22 year history.
Revenue and holiday bookings increased over 41 and 32 per cent respectively compared to January 2023. January 30th and 31st were, on-record, the company’s biggest ever days for sales.
The UK company has announced a significant surge in cruise sales, with a remarkable 64% increase in revenues and a 25% year-on-year rise in the number of cruise bookings during the month of January.
The number of consultants generating six-figures sales in a month was up 15% YoY.
Not Just Travel co-founder Paul Harrison attributed the company’s record-breaking figures to his consultants’ “exceptional passion”, plus a combination of more agents and productivity due to investment in training and support for franchisees with higher margins too, particularly from cruise bookings.
Harrison said, “This isn’t unprecedented, as we have been continuously planning and upskilling our consultants precisely for this formidable time in the travel industry’s history. Everything we do has been invested into the training we offer our network and the opportunities we provide our Key Trade Partners. The sales speak for themselves – what we do works.”
Harrison continues: “Some people thought holiday bookings in 2024 might not reach the same levels as last year as pent-up demand following the pandemic would dampen down. However, trading so far has been the best in our history and many agents report it’s getting even busier.”
He added: “Many consultants are already exceeding their sales targets with some on course to achieve the best month in their career so far. We are really proud of them, as 98 per cent are new to travel yet are finding customers, making bookings and earning money in a really short time period.
“Natalie Downey who completed our virtual training in early January booked £28,000-worth of holidays in under two weeks. Another of the company’s more established agents made a single big booking worth £119,000 this month. Additionally, consultant Palvi Harvey, who made nearly £200k of bookings in January, stated that 100% of her bookings were repeat customers – a testament to her success and quality of service.”
Despite processing more bookings than ever, NJT’s support team maintained a sub 60 second average wait time for support.
Steve Witt continues: “More than ever, holidays are the most prized purchases for consumers. We’ve seen phenomenal sales just after the first payday in 2024 as pent-up demand has exploded. Consumers aren’t scrimping on holidays as they want each trip to be truly memorable. More Brits than ever are enjoying the stress-free, personalised service and money protection a travel consultant provides.”
As a result of the company’s continuous success, Not Just Travel has seen the biggest-ever increase in the number of trading consultants in one month; an increase of over 100 additional consultants becoming active in a single month.
